The Middle Space (not choosing a side of an argument)

Some real talk
You do not have to pick a side in every argument.
You are allowed to live in the in between.
I have been thinking a lot about the liminal space
that weird hallway energy
not here, not there
just… watching, feeling, breathing before you do anything.
Everybody is like
“Pick a side. Who is right. Who is wrong.”
And my spirit is like
actually no.
From a Buddhist angle this is the Middle Way
and it reminds me of Shambhala The Sacred Path of the Warrior
where the “warrior” is the one who stays open and present
even when everything is messy.
Not checked out.
Not screaming.
Just… here.
To me the liminal space is a sacred pause
That moment before you pop off where you ask
“Is this even mine”
“Is this kind”
“Is this wise or is this my ego trying to win”
In that space
You are not drowning in your own feelings or someone else’s
You can listen without loading your next comeback
You can say
“I see your side”
and also
“I am not abandoning myself for it”
It is also very Letting Go energy
Just putting the desire to be right down for a second
and choosing your peace instead.
People think “middle” means weak.
No.
Middle means I am not letting you drag me into your storm.
I will sit right here in the center and not add more chaos.
Is it uncomfortable
Yes.
Your ego hates it.
Your shadow will want to throw a chair.
But your soul knows this is where you actually grow.
✨ Question for you
Where are you being pushed to choose a side right now
and deep down you know you are supposed to sit in the hallway for a minute and let the truth show itself instead of forcing it?
